I bought this book to prepare for an Aurora watching trip. But after reading it I learned of a wealth of resources and techniques that can also be applied to taking all kinds of outdoor night photographs. The book is an easy read and beautifully illustrated.
Eye candy to look at and encyclopedic to read. Best book on Night Photography I've ever seen. He knows his subject and practices what he preaches.
Chock full of useful information, very informative, well written and the photos by the author are very impressive!
Just what I needed
One of my favorite photography books. Informative, inspiring, and beautiful photos.
Much more then a beginners guide, but understandable for the non-professional.
Just up in Maine and found this book a valuable asset. Great section on gear and clothing. I liked the section on the showing what position the milky way will be located in the sky. Went up in September and October where MWay was straight up. Might try a different date next year to match the objects on the ground a little better. I stayed in my car and used a Camranger after I set everything up. It was still freezing at 3000 ft.
